Roberto Pedroza

He has dedicated himself to the development of digital tools for the correct operation of an insurance company and to comply with all the regulations established by the National Insurance and Surety Commission. He is currently the leader of Light IT and has a multidisciplinary team of experienced consultants and analysts.

With more than 30 years of experience in the Mexican Financial and Insurance Sectors, with multidisciplinary training in life, accident, illness, damage and auto companies.

He has specialized in “start-finish” processes, from planning, through development, implementation and maintenance required to automate the processes of each of the areas involved in the operation of an insurance company.

Responsible for back office functions: Finance, actuarial, systems, human resources, operations, claims, material resources, risk management, reinsurance and underwriting.

3 years as Head of Business Finance for Insurance in the Latin American region and 11 years as CFO for Insurance, Pensions and Afore operations. Responsible for the Finance function: Accounting (IFRS & Mex GAAP), Control (Financial Control & SOX), Taxes, Regulatory and Group Reporting, ALM (Treasury Investment Strategy and Financial Control), MIS, Planning and Relations with Regulators and Investors, and Non-Financial Metrics.

Israel Hernandez

In January 2005, he incorporated Merchant Services de México, known as Punto Clave, with his brother Omar and an Angel investor. It is a disruptive Fintech company, specialized in electronic financial transactions: credit cards and government programs.

In 2011, it obtained an investment from a VC called New Growth Fund. In December 2013, it sold Punto Clave to Edenred. This exit was so successful that in 2015 it would obtain the award for the best VC transaction with the best ROI from AMEXCAP (with more than 1,000%), which is the Mexican Association of Venture Capital Funds.

In 2018, he and his brother Omar started a new Fintech Startup, creating an algorithmic trading and investment platform.

In 2021, he obtained the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) license for Dinerazo Inc., the first financial education site for the Latino community in the United States that includes the Roboadvisor service.
